Catering for Events at Mox

• By default, events should expect to order their own catering. For large events, Mox staff can help set up the food when it arrives. You can use this document (Ordering Catering / our past experiences) for reference.

• Setup:
  • 3rd floor cafeteria has 4 wooden serving tables on wheels. 4th floor has 2 glass serving tables and a kitchenette island.
  • Serving utensils can be found in the 3rd floor kitchenette shelves and cabinets.
  • 3rd floor cafeteria has 3 fridges. The one with the glass doors doesn’t work.
  • 4th floor kitchenette has a small drinks fridge (drinks only; too warm for food safety).
• Tips:
  • Remember to request dish placards from the restaurant:
    • Name of dish
    • Dietary restrictions: vegan, vegetarian, kosher, etc.
    • Allergens (nut, soy, etc), gluten free, etc.
    • (Not all restaurants can provide or get this right)
  • We recommend over-ordering by about 20-30% to minimize surprises.
  • Likewise, include additional serving and eating utensils in the order if they’re free. Never hurts!
  • If you have extra unopened trays left over, please consider donating them to nearby shelters: food donation
