Mox is a community hub at 1680 Mission Street with a special focus on serving AI alignment research projects, hosting events for the rationalist and effective altruist communities, and enabling unusual founders and community builders to experiment. We also work really hard to build a comfortable and cordial 24/7 workplace to enable deep productivity for early birds, night owls, and weekend warriors alike.
We curate membership to maintain a community of curious, accomplished people who value intellectual exchange. If you're doing interesting work and want to be around others doing the same, you'll probably fit in.
Our members include AI safety researchers, machine learning engineers, startup founders building in climate, health, and education, policy researchers, and creative technologists. Many work at leading AI organizations; others are building companies or conducting independent research.
Our membership tiers are based on use, not merit, and have the same admission requirements. Once admitted, you can pause, change, cancel, or renew your membership at any time.
